Johnston Is Congratulated By Adam Nelson
The draw for the first round of the League Challenge Cup took place at 2:30pm today at Hampden and City will take on 3rd division outfit Elgin City at Borough Briggs.
Elgin struggled in the 3rd last season and only a rate rally saw them finish above East Stirling at the bottom of the table.
Of course, Elgin's top goalscorer last season, Martin Johnston and Adam Nelson have a chance to get one over their old team mates when the two sides face each other in August.
The draw was regionalised and was as follows:
North/East Draw
Dundee v Ross County
Raith Rovers v St Johnstone
Peterhead v Cowdenbeath
Forfar Athletic v East Fife
Montrose v Stirling Albion
Elgin City v Brechin City
Arbroath v Alloa Athletic
Bye:- Dunfermline Athletic
