The Club are pleased to confirm the signing of Jonathan Page from Airdrieonians, with the experienced defender coming straight into contention for tonight's Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Cup tie against Elgin City at Glebe Park.

The 29-year old Englishman came through the ranks of Southampton and Portsmouth before making the move north of the border with Motherwell, where City fans may recall him scoring two headers for the Steelmen in a League Cup tie at Glebe Park in 2010.

Whilst at Fir Park, he spent time on loan at Stirling Albion where he helped the Binos clinch the Second Division title and also Hamilton Academical. Page signed permanently for Accies upon his release from Motherwell and further full time stints with Morton and Dunfermline followed.

He then went on to have a fruitful 4 year spell with East Fife, during which time he played under Barry Smith. He made 139 appearances at New Bayview, scoring 13 times before making the switch to Airdrieonians last summer.

Manager Barry Smith said, “Jonathan is a player I have worked with before. He is a good solid defender who will add more experience to our defensive unit. He has learned his trade at Motherwell and Hamilton and will be a good addition to our squad.”
