Iain Russell
Russell- Doubtful

City go into their centenary match tonight without a number of players. Captain Steve Ferguson and Kevin Byers are long term absentees while Grant Johnson is extremely doubtful. Both John Ward (Achilles) and Iain Russell (Hamstring) picked up injuries against Morton on Saturday and also look set to miss out on the celebrations.

Also in the doubtful list is the manager himself, Michael O’Neill, who has been put under considerable pressure by the Glebe Park committee to make a cameo appearance during the match. Town manager Jim Magilton, however, may feature.

Ipswich Town have made a couple of chances to the squad travelling north. Ian Miller, who was named in the initial squad, has pulled out with a broken nose after an accidental clash with team-mate James Krause during their FA Suffolk Premier Cup win over Felixstowe and Walton on Tuesday. However, Matt Richards has fully recovered from a calf injury and will be on the plane to Scotland to take part in the match.

The game kicks off tonight at 7:30pm and season ticket holders are reminded that season tickets are NOT valid for this match and that normal gate prices of £5 (Juvenile) and £10 (Adults) will apply. The reason for charging season ticket holders is that Brechin are paying for Ipswich’s travel and accommodation. A special centenary programme will also be on sale at the game, priced £2. Make sure you get your hands on a copy as a souvenir of this special night!
