Brechin City is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Ethan Crombie on a cooperation loan agreement from Dundee FC.
The highly rated 16-year-old has been part of the Dundee academy setup since the age of 10, progressing through the youth ranks at Dens Park before signing his first professional contract with the club earlier this year in February.
He has also represented his country at youth level, featuring for the Scotland Under-17s in their recent UEFA European Championship Qualifiers.
Ethan featured for Dundee against City during pre-season, catching the eye of Manager Ray McKinnon who has followed his progress since and has been keen to bring him to the Club for a number of weeks.
Ethan will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s Highland League Cup clash against Clachnacuddin at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park. In addition to the move goalkeeper Ruaridh Lynch, who has made two appearances for City in the Scottish Cup, will return back to Dens Park.
Manager Ray McKinnon commented, "Ethan played for Dundee against us in pre-season and is very comfortable on the ball. He's a top prospect at Dens Park and played 3 games recently for Scotland U17's where he was outstanding so hopefully he can bring some quality to the squad. Dundee FC rate him highly and it's great that they are happy to send him on loan to us and hopefully we can give him experience and aid his development."
