The Club is delighted to have retained the services of Cillian Sheridan, with the vastly experienced forward penning a new one-year extension with Brechin City.
The former Republic of Ireland international played a key role for City in the second half of last season, contributing with 10 goals in 16 appearances. He averaged a goal every 96 minutes, the highest strike rate amongst the City squad last season.
Prior to joining City last season, Sheridan was well-known for his extensive career across Europe and beyond, having played for clubs in Scotland, England, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Poland, Israel, and New Zealand.
His career highlights included stints at Celtic, where he won the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Cup before helping APOEL to a domestic double in both of his two seasons in Cyprus, where he also competed in the Champions League.
His experience will prove invaluable as City again look to make another push in gaining promotion to the SPFL.
Manager Ray McKinnon was delighted to retain a player of Cillian’s quality, adding, “I’m very happy to have Cillian on board for next season - along with being a top player, he brings great experience to lead the line.
“He done brilliantly towards the end of the season and I look forward to working with him again.”
