Scott Bright Signs on Loan - By Steven Mew

Manager Patrick Cregg has further strengthened his defensive options with the addition of Scott Bright on a short term loan from St Johnstone until January.

The left sided defender, who made his first team debut for the Saints last season, finished the campaign with a loan spell at Lowland League side Berwick Rangers where he made 22 appearances.

Scott has captained Saints' successful U18 side and has also featured on the bench for the first team 4 times this campaign including the most recent fixture against Heart of Midlothian.

He was also part of the St Johnstone B side that defeated City in the SPFL Trust Trophy at McDiarmid Park earlier in the season, providing the cross for the winning goal.

The young defender will now look to continue his development at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park and will be available for selection for tomorrow's R Davidson (Banchory) Highland League Cup clash against Inverurie Locos.

Manager Patrick Cregg added, "He's another player I know really well - I coached his team when I was in the St Johnstone Academy. He played against us in the SPFL Trust Trophy and he did really well.

"I've been following his development and he's someone we've been monitoring since pre-season. We feel he will bring quality to the group - he's a player that is starting his journey in trying to play at the highest level possible so that can only be a benefit to us."
