Following an impressive performance against Banks O’ Dee in midweek, City will be looking to continue where they left off as we take on Rothes at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park tomorrow afternoon.
The Speysiders have struggled so far this season and currently occupy 17th place with just two wins from their opening 11 games. They have strengthened their squad in recent weeks, with the addition of striker Shane Harkness and goalkeeper Martin Mackinnon as well as Tom Brady and Taylor Thain from Forres Mechanics.
TEAM NEWS
City will continue to be without Ryan Ferguson, although it is hoped he will be able to return to light training next week. The Manager is also hopeful that Dayle Robertson, who came off at half time on Wednesday, will be available.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Following the victory over Banks O' Dee in midweek, Manager Patrick Cregg commented,
"It was a tough game and we had to overcome a bit of adversity after they took the lead. From a physical point of view I thought we were brilliant. I’ve seen us play better in possession, but physically we were outstanding.
“We’d started well nut then we went one nil down from a set piece. I wasn’t panicking, but I knew the next goal was going to be huge and we got a bit of fortune with the equaliser. Their keeper will probably feel he should have saved it, but you need those elements of luck and we got it.
“At half-time I felt we had a huge chance of winning the game and whoever got the next goal I felt would go on to win it and it was important that we got that.”

Although not at their best for much of the 90 minutes, City ran out comfortable winners against the Speysiders at the start of the year. Ewan Loudon netted a brace before Murray Mackintosh marked his second debut with a goal just 4 minutes after coming on as a substitute. Any hopes of a clean sheet were dashed 7 minutes from time when Jake Thomson pulled one back for the visitors.
