Brechin City FC is pleased to confirm the signing of young attacking midfielder Daniel Johnston on a two-year contract following his departure from Dundee FC.
The 17 year-old has been training with the team in recent weeks and has impressed enough to earn a contract with the Club.
Daniel, who hails from Monifieth, came through the ranks of Dundee and was part of their B squad that defeated Formartine United in the SPFL Trust Trophy at the end of July which, coincidentally, was played at the Glebe.
He will now be included in the squad for tomorrow's Highland League fixture against Wick Academy at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.
Manager Patrick Cregg commented,
"I'm really excited by him - he can play off either side or in the number 10 role. He's young and has a lot of development to come but he's another attacking option for us. If he works hard then he will get the opportunities with us."
Daniel is available to sponsor, with away kit sponsorship costing £200, whilst boot sponsorship is priced at £100. For full details visit the PLAYER SPONSORSHIP page on the club website.
