For the second time in the space of 3 weeks City will come up against Wick Academy - this time it's the turn of the Scorries to make the long journey south-east tomorrow afternoon.
With 8 wins and 1 draw to their name so far, City will undoubtedly be aiming to continue their unbeaten start against a Wick side that come into the game on a high following their 3-2 victory over Rothes last weekend.
TEAM NEWS
City will continue to be without Ryan Ferguson whilst there is a doubt over Marc Scott - however the rest of the squad will be available for selection. Both Kevin McHattie and Seth Patrick, who didn't feature last week as a precaution, will be ready to play.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Looking back at the victory over Strathspey Thistle last weekend, Manager Patrick Cregg commented,
"I thought the lads did really well. I felt we actually played better in the first half even though the scoreline in the second half was better. Our tempo and intensity both on and off the ball was really good in the first half. We had the territory and maintained the pressure for large parts of the game."
Striker Dayle Robertson netted his second hat-trick of the season with Patrick commenting,
"It's not just Dayle's goals but his all-round game and workrate has been excellent. He holds the ball up well and chases back and to be honest that's the things we are most happy with. We are obviously delighted he is scoring goals but he isn't going to get a hat-trick every week - so when he isn't scoring he still bringing plenty to the team."
Focus now turns to tomorrow's match against Wick with Patrick adding,
"Wick will be coming down here with the same objective as us and that's to try and win the game. Like any other game if we can work harder than the opposition then our quality should show. There are no easy games in this league and our application has to be spot on and to be fair to the group they have been showing that so far."
