Match Preview | Brechin City v Inverurie Locos - By Steven Mew

Following two games on the road to start the Highland League season, it’s back to home soil for City tomorrow evening as we welcome Inverurie Locos to the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.

TEAM NEWS
Manager Patrick Cregg is likely to have another full squad at his disposal, with Craig Tosh a possible doubt. Marc Scott was taken off as a precaution on Saturday and is fit to play, whilst goalkeeper Isaac Carmody is also available after international clearance was received earlier today.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Patrick Cregg was delighted with his sides' performance in the 3-0 win over Nairn County on Saturday. He said, "I'm very happy with the players from a collective point of view and there were some really good individual performances as well. We probably should have scored more than the 3 games but the pleasing thing is the number of chances that we were creating and I felt that was the same in the first game against Keith as well. In terms of the opportunities created we can't ask for much more - the objective it to create chances and score goals and that's exactly what we done.

"It was a really good header from Dayle (Robertson) and it's important that we get really good numbers from set pieces. We're fortunate to have someone as capable as Anthony (McDonald) from dead balls and if the delivery is good then you always have a chance.

"We're fortunate to have a good squad in terms of the players who started on Wednesday night, they came on as subs and had a really good impact. Ruari (Henry) came on and looked a threat and possibly could have got a goal but he was getting into good areas. We didn't lose any momentum in terms in trying to control the game."

Looking ahead to the visit of Inverurie tomorrow evening, Patrick commented, "The aim going into the game is to make it 9 points from 9. I've watched quite a bit of Inverurie and it'll be a tough game. We'll have to be up and at them and go above what they bring and give ourselves the best chance of winning the game. I feel the group are building a culture where it is effort and mentality first."
