Manager Gavin Price has bolstered his squad with the addition of Edinburgh City captain Danny Handling following his departure from the Capital side.

Handling, who can play in a number of positions across midfield and upfront, has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season.

The 29 year-old arrives with considerable experience in the SPFL having come through the ranks at Hibernian where he made 64 appearances and also had loan spells at Berwick Rangers and Raith Rovers. During his time at Hibs, he was also represented Scotland at Under 21 level.

After departing Easter Road in 2017, Handling joined Dumbarton before making the move to Edinburgh City where he has spent the last 6 seasons - making 176 appearances and netting 45 goals in the process.

Commenting on the signing, Gavin Price said, "We've done our level best to get Danny after we became aware of his availability. I know Danny well from coming up against him over the years and he was in a thorn in my side during my time with Elgin. We needed that type of player at the top end of the park who has experience, physical presence and will really benefit our younger players in the team.

"We have an experienced defence but we don't have that right through the spine of the team and Danny is a player that will undoubtedly give us that. He's captained Edinburgh City for years and will bring leadership qualities on the park as well.

"It's a different environment and a new challenge for Danny as well and it's one that he's wanting to take on. It's certainly a coup for the club."
