Botti Biabi Signs for City - By Steven Mew

Manager Andy Kirk has bolstered his attacking options with the addition of Botti Biabi on a deal until the end of the season.

The 26 year-old forward, who can also play on either wing, trained with the club yesterday evening and will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's Highland League fixture against Keith at Glebe Park.

Botti started his professional career at Falkirk where he caught the eye of then Premier League side Swansea City who brought him to the Liberty Stadium in August 2015 for a six-figure fee. He joined up with the Swans Under-21 squad and also spent time on loan at Hamilton Academical and Macclesfield Town.

Following his release from Swansea in 2019, he had a brief spell with Ebbsfleet United before heading north of the border, signing for Stenhousemuir and most recently Kelty Hearts where he picked up a league winners medal last season.

Manager Andy Kirk commented, "We're delighted to bring Botti to the club. He's an exciting player who is quick, strong and will bring a lot of energy to the front line. He's another player that can still develop and he will give us that extra cutting edge.

"He brings a bit of experience and he was part of the Kelty Hearts side that gained promotion last season.

"We've been looking to bring a player to the club that compliments what we already have and with his pace, Botti certainly fits that mould. He's got a hunger and desire to kick on and he's a player that I feel will make us a better team."
