City Sign Arnott on Loan

The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Aaron Arnott, with the highly-rated attacking midfielder joining on a loan deal from Championship side Raith Rovers until the end of the season.
Aaron, who will turn 19 in November, picked up Rovers' Young Player of the Year award last season and helped the club win the SPFL Trust Trophy having netted the winner in the semi-final against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The youngster signed for Rovers from Fife Elite Football Academy and made his breakthrough at the start of last season, racking up 23 appearances since. Coincidentally, his competitive debut came against City at Starks Park in the Premier Sports Cup last July.
Highly regarded by the management staff at Starks Park, Aaron signed a extension to his contract towards the end of last season to keep him at the club until 2024.
Manager Andy Kirk commented, "Aaron is a talented young player. He's full of energy, technically very good on the ball and he's had experience with Raith in the Championship. He's another player that fits in with the ethos of what we are trying to do and compliments the players we already have.
"When I spoke to Ian Murray, he was very complimentary about Aaron and only had positive things to say. It's one of those situations where Raith have a lot of good players in their squad and at his age, he needs to get more experience and game time under his belt.
"We are very grateful to Raith for allowing him to come to Brechin. We had a very positive experience with loan players last year with the likes of Jack Wills, Max Kucheriavyi and Jack Milne who all returned back to their parent clubs in better shape. Hopefully we can help Aaron improve which, in turn, will also benefit us."
Welcome to the Glebe, Aaron!
