We can confirm that striker Julian Wade will move on from the Club and will join fellow Highland League side Formartine United following the expiration of his contract next month.

Following his move to Scotland, Julian not only had to adjust to a different league but a completely different climate, with the freezing temperatures in Scotland a far cry from his homeland.

The likeable Dominican endeared himself to the City support with his positive attitude and was a hit particularly with our younger supporters. He netted 13 goals in 33 appearances, including a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Nairn County in March.

Julian commented, “Thanks to my team mates and everyone at Brechin City who made the transition easier. Special mention also to the group of young boys and girls who cheer me on from behind the goal with their chants and support.”

The Club would like to thank ‘Juju’ for his efforts in a City shirt and wish him well at his new club, with the exception of matches against City of course!
