Match Preview | Brechin City v Huntly - By Steven Mew

Following the disappointment of a midweek defeat at Inverurie, City will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon as we take on Huntly at Glebe Park.

TEAM NEWS
City will welcome Jack Milne back to the squad after the midfielder played for parent club Aberdeen in the SPFL Trust Trophy on Wednesday however the game will come too soon for Garry Wood. Luc Bollan continues to miss out with a dislocated shoulder whilst Kevin McHattie continues to get stronger week by week as he continues his rehabilitation.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Manager Andy Kirk reflected on the defeat against Inverurie, he said, "Wednesday night was really disappointing as there were a lot of good elements against Buckie and we'd have wanted to kick on from that. Locos made it very difficult for us - they were set up well and difficult to break down.

"It was the second half that was the most disappointing. We were outrun and outfought and to lose the game in that manner is unacceptable. It was a poor performance in terms of energy and application. We didn't defend at a corner for the first goal and we had a chance to clear our lines for the second goal but got caught out and it's cost us.

"The players have got a point to prove at the weekend - it's good that the game has come around quickly. We had a great support there on Wednesday and the players owe them a performance. There are a lot of people at the club working extremely hard behind the scenes and our job is to perform on the pitch. We didn't do that well enough on Wednesday so it's now a chance for the players to put that right on Saturday."
