New Key Sponsorship Agreement - By Steven Mew

A new name will appear on Brechin City’s playing kit this season, as well as in and around Glebe Park, with the Club confirming a brand new key sponsorship agreement for the new season.

As was announced to Club members at the recent AGM, one of the country’s leading independent financial advisers, CHASE DE VERE, has opted to support the Club for the coming season.

A prestigious industry name in its own right, Chase de Vere purchased Brechin-based Ferguson Oliver Wealth Management in October 2019. Ferguson Oliver has in itself has had a compelling and strongly valued relationship with the Club for many years through directors Mike and Ken Ferguson – placing it amongst the longest serving commercial sponsors currently linked to Brechin City.

Since inception of the business in 1989, the Club has benefitted hugely from consistent support through a variety of means and in recent times the Ferguson Oliver branding has been included on the playing kit as a club Main Sponsor. Supporters shouldn’t under-estimate the solid support enjoyed by the Club – in many instances outwith the glare of public spotlight – but nonetheless recognised, acknowledged and thoroughly appreciated by the various Management Committees in place over the last 30 years or so.

Whilst the Club is delighted to see the Chase de Vere name on the kit, it’s a clear testament to the legacy of the Ferguson Oliver relationship that a national company of this magnitude sees fit to invest in Brechin City FC. Against a backdrop of its London HQ and 16 offices around the UK, we join with others locally in welcoming Chase de Vere to the town. In addition to passing on our genuine gratitude for this inaugural support, we wish the company every success as they provide their expert services to the north east community under this brand through its new Brechin outlet for the first time.
