Brechin City FC are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Archie Simpson.

His son in-law, Roy Freedman passed on the following message to The Club:

“I wanted to inform the club that my father in law Archibald (Archie) Simpson passed away on 28th July 2019. Archie was proud to have captained Brechin City in the 1959-60 season when he signed from Barrow A.F.C. He is survived by his wife Nan, son Grant & daughter Gillian. His funeral is to be held at Dundee crematorium on 14th August at 2:30pm.”
