Brechin City FC are delighted to announce that the Club has a new main sponsorship agreement with our good friends and neighbours at Glencadam Distillery.

Chairman Ken Ferguson said, "We are delighted to welcome Glencadam Single Malt Scotch Whisky as our new main sponsor. As our closest neighbour Glencadam is a natural fit for the Club and as such a prominent local business we look forward to working closely together. Glencadam Distillery has major investment plans for the local community which we want to support as much as we can.

"We are very proud and honoured to display the Glencadam Single Malt brand on our team strips and we are grateful for their support as we start another season in our 113th year history with a new squad of players.

"The Club also wish to thank and acknowledge the cooperation of our other shirt sponsors JJKS and Ferguson Oliver who continue to support the Club for the new season on the new home kit and away tops.

Glencadam Distillery has a long association with Brechin and the local area. The distillery was established in 1825, making it one of the oldest in Scotland, and it has remained mostly unchanged throughout the years, retaining its original character and charm.

It has just two stills, which produce a unique “Eastern Highlands” style of whisky, which is very fruity, smooth and slightly spicy. Today Glencadam is available throughout the world and has won many awards for the quality of its Scotch whisky, which is held in very high regard. These awards are testament to the distillery itself and the dedicated team who produce this outstanding single malt.

There are exciting times ahead for the distillery, with the recent approval of plans to build a new visitor centre. This investment will be a real boost for the area, bringing even more tourists and local people into Brechin, to tour the distillery and visit the new visitor experience, shop and café.
