Brechin City can confirm that following the expiration of his short term contract, the club have parted company with striker Boris Melingui.

The likeable Frenchman signed a six month deal with City in the summer after a successful trial period during pre-season.

He would go on to net 5 times for City in 22 appearances, including a last minute winner in the 3-2 win over Dumbarton at Glebe Park back in August and a late equaliser against Raith Rovers the following month.

The 22-year-old has found it increasingly difficult to force his way into the starting 11 in recent months and we would like to thank Boris for his efforts in a City shirt and wish him well for the future.
