East Fife v Brechin City - Match Preview - By Steven Mew

City travel to face East Fife at New Bayview tomorrow afternoon aiming to increase their recent unbeaten league run to seven.

Although City have been going steady in the league of late, their form is eclipsed by tomorrows hosts who have recorded 7 wins on the bounce in all competitions which has propelled them to 3rd in the table, one place and 3 points above City.

TEAM NEWS
With the exception of long term injury victim Dene Shields, City Manager Darren Dods has the almost unheard of scenario of a full squad to pick from for the visit to East Fife.

Darren himself visited Methil to see East Fife defeat Championship side Queen of the South last weekend in the Irn Bru Cup to set up a quarter final in Dublin against Bohemians.

The Manager commented, "Whilst the players are looking forward to getting back into action after the international break, we're all well aware that East Fife are one of the form teams around at the moment.

"That's now two higher league teams they've beaten in the cup and their league form has been impressive too since our victory over them at the Glebe in August. It's up to us to respond to the challenge and our players can't wait to get started."

MATCH OFFICIALS
Taking charge of the game tomorrow is Craig Napier. He will be assisted by Brian Templeton and Barry Reid. The last time Napier took charge of a City game was at the start of last season in a 1-1 draw against Forfar in the Betfred Cup.

LAST TIME OUT
City completed the first quarter of the season with a thoroughly deserved 3-1 victory away from home against Airdrieonians. Joao Victoria had given the hosts the lead but an Andy Jackson double, which sandwiched a superb strike from Sean Burns handed City all 3 points.

Whilst City were without a competitive match last weekend, East Fife were in Irn Bru Cup action as they shocked Championship outfit Queen of the South at New Bayview. Goals from Kevin Smith and Anton Dowds in each half saw the Methil men progress to the quarter finals of the competition.

PREVIOUS MEETING
The two sides met at Glebe Park in the second league game of the season back in August. A solitary goal from Jordan Sinclair just after the hour mark handed City a deserved win - this proved to be City's first league victory for 470 days.
