Forfar Athletic v Brechin City - Match Preview - By Steven Mew

It's the third local derby of the season tomorrow afternoon as City look to continue their recent upturn in form against Forfar Athletic at Station Park.

TEAM NEWS
Sean Burns returns to the squad having been unavailable last week, but Jordan Sinclair is likely to miss out having been forced to leave the field early against Raith Rovers last weekend.

Skipper Paul McLean and striker Dene Shields remain sidelined whilst influential defender Dougie Hill is still struggling to regain full fitness.

Manager Darren Dods said, "We are all looking forward to the game. We haven't met in the league since our 'great escape' season and, with both clubs having been relegated and promoted in the two seasons since then, it'll be interesting to see how it all matches up on the park. Personally, as my most recent former club, I do look forward to my visits to Station Park.

MATCH OFFICIALS
Taking charge of the derby tomorrow is David Lowe and he will be assisted by Alistair Mather and Ryan Kennedy. The omens are good as Lowe officiated City's 2-1 win over Stirling Albion in the Betfred Cup earlier in the season.

ADMISSION INFORMATION
Forfar Athletic have confirmed the admission prices as:

Stand - £15 Adult, £9 Concessions (65 and over) and £5 for Under 17's.
Terracing - £14 Adult, £8 Concessions and £5 for Under 17's.

The 1984 Lounge at Station Park will be open from 12:30pm until kick-off and on the final whistle until approximately 8pm with both sets of supporters welcome.

LAST TIME OUT
The last two matches has seen City and Forfar both play Arbroath and Raith Rovers. City have fared better than their Angus neighbours, recording two draws in these matches (2-2 v Arbroath and 1-1 v Raith) whilst the Loons lost 4-0 to Raith and 3-1 to Arbroath - both away from home.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS
City's last meeting against Forfar was at Glebe Park in the Betfred Cup at the start of last season. Isaac Layne's spectacular long range goal looked to have earned City the win before Mark Millar equalised with a penalty in stoppage time. City went on to win 5-4 on penalties to gain a bonus point.

The last league match saw City retain their League 1 status with a 2-1 final day win over the Loons at Station Park, completing the "great escape". Goals from Darren McCormack and loanee Jamie Robson had City in control before Danny Denholm pulled one back for the relegated hosts late on. Forfar's Andy Ryan and City's Craig 'Tiger' Molloy (on his last City appearance) were both shown red cards in this fixture.
