Peterhead v Brechin City - Match Preview - By Steven Mew

City travel north tomorrow to take on Peterhead in the first round of the Irn Bru Cup, having already faced the Blue Toon in the Betfred Cup last month.

TEAM NEWS
Manager Darren Dods will travel north with potentially only 14 players at his disposal tomorrow evening due to a mixture of injury and suspension. Dougie Hill and Callum Tapping will both serve one match bans which carried over from the cup last season, whilst Paul McLean and Jordan Tapping continue to miss out through injury. Ryan McGeever may also be a doubt due to an ankle knock sustained during the win against East Fife on Saturday.

MATCH OFFICIALS
Referee Steven Kirkland will take charge of the tie, he will be assisted by Douglas Ross and Darren Munro. The last time Kirkland officiated a City game was in the 5-1 defeat against Queen of the South on the final day of last season.

ADMISSION PRICES
Admission prices for the match have been set at £12 for adults (£14 in stand) and £6 for concessions (£8 in stand). The match is not segregated and City fans will enter via the main turnstiles.

Unfortunately, there will not be a supporters bus running to this fixture.

LAST TIME OUT
City grabbed their first regular league win in 38 matches as they defeated East Fife 1-0 at Glebe Park on Saturday. Jordan Sinclair grabbed the solitary goal just after the hour mark.

Peterhead meanwhile were comfortable 4-0 winners over Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill. On target for the Blue Toon were Jamie Stevenson, Derek Lyle, ex-City striker Rory McAllister and Scott Brown.

PREVIOUS MEETING
Remarkably this is the second time the sides have clashed in cup competitions already this season, having played out a 0-0 draw in the Betfred Cup at Glebe Park last month. The Blue Toon won 5-4 on penalties to earn a bonus point.
