Stirling Albion v Brechin City - Match Preview
After the disappointment of losing to Peterhead on penalties on Saturday, City will be looking to bounce back tomorrow evening as they travel to face another League Two side in the shape of Stirling Albion at Forthbank tomorrow evening.
City will be without defender Jordan Tapping who came off with an injury on Saturday whilst Ryan McGeever and Andy Jackson continue to miss out.
Subject to international clearance coming through, there will be a new signing in the squad for the game, but is likely to start on the substitutes bench.
The man in the middle tomorrow will be David Lowe and he will be assisted by Ivan Stankovic and Blair Fraser. The last time Lowe took charge of a City game was a 1-0 win at home to Albion Rovers on 29th April 2017 - the scorer that day was skipper Paul McLean.
Stirling Albion are offering reduced admission for both sets of supporters. Admission prices are as follows:
- Adults £10
- Seniors, Students & U16's £5
- U12's FREE
Quite bizarrely, this is the third season in succession that the two sides have been paired together in the Betfred Cup group stage. City defeated the Binos 2-1 at Glebe Park in 2016/17 thanks to a late Alan Trouten winner however there was disappointment for Darren Dod's men last season as City went down 2-0 at Forthbank, with both goals coming from the penalty spot.
