New Arrival at The Glebe: DYLAN MACKIN JOINS FROM LIVINGSTON
Before the January transfer window “slams” shut, City boss Darren Dods moved to secure the services of 21-year-old Livingston striker Dylan Mackin on a Development Loan until the end of the season.
Dylan has appeared on 21 occasions for Livingston this season, 10 of these in the starting line-up, and has scored 8 goals along the way – including against City in the Championship clashes in the 2-2 draw at Glebe Park in August and at The Tony Macaroni Stadium in the 3-2 defeat in October.
The former Motherwell FC youth player was also on the scoresheet during previous loan spells at Airdrieonians and Alloa Athletic – and indeed scored for The Wasps during the Championship Play-Off Final which saw last season reach a memorable conclusion for Brechin City.
City manager Darren Dods has been looking to add to his forward line throughout the window, particularly with the return to Aberdeen of Connor McLennan - and is delighted to bring this deal to a conclusion. The Club is grateful to Livingston for their co-operation and Livingston Manager David Hopkin told their club website “Dylan needs as much game time as possible at this stage in his development, and Brechin City can offer him that valuable game time. He will be playing Championship football which will give him a great platform to come back into Livingston in the pre-season ready for the challenge that awaits us all next season."
