Stenhousemuir 3 Brechin City 3

Match Report - By John Hoey

Brechin City drew 3-3 with Stenhousemuir after a remarkable match at Ochilview. Alan Trouten gave City the lead after six minutes but a defensive lapse allowed Martin Corcoran to grab the equaliser in the 20th minute.

A Graham Hay own-goal ten minutes into the second-half gave the Warriors the advantage and when John Gemmell blasted home a further goal eight minutes later it looked as if there would be no way back for City. However, skipper Ewan Moyes reduced the defict in the 70th minute and a superb left-foot drive from David McKenna seven minutes later levelled the match. City looked at this stage as if they could go on an grab a dramatic winner but the chances of that happening after Gary Fusco was ordered off by referee David Somers for a second-bookable offence and he was followed into the tunnel by Gemmell right at the death after he had elbowed Graham Hay.
