Brechin City went down to their fifth defeat on the trot after going down to Angus neighbours Arbroath by 3-1 at Gayfield.

The Lichties started strongly but City edged their way back into the game and were a shade unfortunate to lose a goal in the 24th minute.

The visitors deservedly equalised through David McKenna,six minutes into the second-half but as the half went on the team began to fade and two further goals from Arbroath wrapped up the points.
