Brechin City suffered their third successive league defeat this afternoon, goiing down by 3-0 to league leaders Queen of the South at Glebe Park.

City, without key players Craig Molloy, Ryan Stewart, Gerry McGlauchlan, Derek Carcary and Alan Trouten found themselves trailling by 2-0 at half-time with both of the Doonhamers goals coming from set pieces, Chris Higgins and Derek Lyle on the mark for the visitors, and a third goal from the penalty-spot in the 53rd minute, converted by Willie Gibson wrapped up a comfortable win for Allan Johnston's men.
