Brechin City FC are delighted to confirm that last seasons Player of the Year, Mitch Taylor, will remain at Glebe Park for the 2026/27 season.
The winger had a clause in his contract allowing him to leave this summer following the club’s failure to secure promotion to League Two. However, Mitch has made it clear that he wants to continue his journey with City and help drive another promotion challenge next season.
Taylor was another standout performer throughout the 2025/26 campaign and his commitment to the club is a huge boost ahead of the new campaign.
Manager Andy Kirk said, “We’re delighted that Mitch has committed himself to the club for another season. He had the opportunity to move on this summer but he expressed a desire to stay with Brechin City and help our push for promotion.
“Mitch gives everything every time he steps onto the park, works incredibly hard for the team and is someone the supporters have really taken to.
“We’re looking forward to working with him again next season and I’m sure he’ll play a big part for us.”
