Brechin City Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Kyle Gourlay on a pre-contract agreement from Kelty Hearts, subject to SFA registration.
The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year contract and will officially join up with the squad ahead of the new season.
Gourlay arrives with a wealth of experience across the SPFL, having featured at League 2 level right up to the Premiership. A product of Dundee’s youth academy, Kyle gained valuable first-team experience during loan spells with Clyde, Airdrieonians and Elgin City while developing at Dens Park.
Following his time with Dundee, Gourlay went on to represent Hamilton Academical during their spell in the Scottish Premiership before continuing his career with Cove Rangers where he was part of the squad that clinched the League 1 title in 2021/22. Most recently, he has been a regular between the sticks for Kelty Hearts in League One.
Manager Andy Kirk commented, “I’m really pleased to be able to bring Kyle Gourlay to the Club. Kyle is technically very strong with both his hands and feet and brings with him good experience of playing in the SPFL.
“After meeting with Kyle it was clear he was looking for a new challenge and I am delighted he has chosen to do that with Brechin City.”
Everyone at Brechin City FC would like to extend a warm welcome to Kyle to the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.
