All roads lead to Dudgeon Park tomorrow as City head north for a hugely important clash with Brora Rangers – where a win for Andy Kirk’s men would be enough to clinch the Highland League title.
Standing in their way, however, is a Brora side with championship ambitions of their own, knowing that anything other than a Brechin win would take the title race to the final day of the season.
History offers encouragement for City, having won each of their last four league trips to Dudgeon Park. They will be hoping that impressive record can continue and bring with it the result that would secure the prize they have worked all season to achieve.

With so much riding on tomorrow’s clash, Manager Andy Kirk is understandably keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to team selection and player availability.
The injured players who have missed out in recent matches will all be given every opportunity to prove their fitness ahead of kick-off, as City look to have as many options available as possible for the game.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Reflecting on the convincing 3-0 victory over Nairn County on Saturday, Manager Andy Kirk said “We were pleased with another win and clean sheet. I thought we played some good stuff but it was always going to be difficult coming off the back of the number of games we’ve played recently. The players again gave us everything and we probably should have had another couple of goals but we can’t complain as it’s another 3 points and another step in the right direction.
“It’s a cliché but because of the number of games we’ve had, it’s just a case of taking it one game at a time and seeing where we are. We can’t look at the next game until we’ve dealt with the job in hand.”
Looking ahead to the match tomorrow night, Andy added, “We’ve got two games left and if we manage to get the result that we want tomorrow night then that will be enough for us but we know it’s going to be difficult against Brora who are a good team.”

LAST TIME OUT
City extended their lead at the top of the Highland League following a 3-0 victory over Nairn County on Saturday. Dugald Farquhar headed in his second goal in the space of 3 days to give City a half time lead, whilst a brace from Grady McGrath in the second half sealed a comfortable victory.
Brora Rangers meanwhile were held to a 1-1 draw at home to 3rd placed Formartine United. Tyler Mykyta had given the Pitmedden side an early lead with a free kick after just 3 minutes however Shane Sutherland restored parity later in the first half to earn an important point for the Cattachs.

Ten man City reignited their title charge with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over then league leaders Brora Rangers at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park in February.
With a numerical disadvantage for more than 70 minutes following Brad McKay’s early dismissal, Andy Kirk’s side produced a display of resilience and sheer determination to secure three invaluable points to breathe fresh life into their title hopes.
The only goal of the game arrived just before the quarter hour when Cillian Sheridan nodded home from a Fraser Macleod free kick. City’s task was made harder on 21 minutes when Brad McKay was given a straight red for a late challenge on Shane Sutherland, but City defended resolutely for the remainder of the game to see out the all-important 3 points.
