The Club are thrilled to confirm that midfielder Fraser Macleod is the latest player to commit his future to Brechin City FC by signing a new two-year contract extension.
A hugely popular figure among the Glebe Park support, Macleod first joined City from East Craigie in the summer of 2022 and has gone on to establish himself as one of the club’s most important and consistent performers during his time in Angus.
The midfielder made an immediate impact following his arrival, playing a key role in helping Brechin City secure the Highland League title in his debut season. Since then, he has continued to be a central figure in the side and an integral part of the squad both on and off the pitch.
Over the course of the last four seasons, Macleod has been an almost ever-present for the club, amassing 170 appearances and contributing 28 goals from midfield in the process.
Manager Andy Kirk commented, “We’re delighted that Fraser has extended his contract for another two years. Fraser was a very important part of the league winning side in in 2022/23 and he wants more success with Brechin.
