Brechin City Football Club is delighted to announce that experienced defender Brad McKay has signed a new two-year contract extension with the club.
McKay initially joined City at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign and quickly established himself in the centre of defence. His outstanding debut season was recognised at the club’s end-of-season awards, where he completed a clean sweep by collecting the Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards.
Injury limited Brad to 20 appearances last season, but his influence whenever he was on the park was clear to see. Dependable at the back, he has also proven to be a threat at the other end of the pitch – scoring an impressive 12 goals in 60 appearances for the club.
Manager Andy Kirk commented, “I’m delighted that Brad has extended his contract with the Club for another 2 years. Brad has good experience and quality and adds more strength and depth to the back line.
“Brad, like others, expressed a real desire to stay with Brechin City and try and help the club be successful.”
