Brechin City are pleased to confirm the addition of midfielder Corey Kirk to the squad ahead of tomorrow’s Premier Sports Cup opener against Partick Thistle.
Corey, 19, returns to the Club having previously had a brief loan spell at the Glebe from Livingston during the 2023/24 season. During his time with the West Lothian side, he progressed through the youth ranks and also featured for the club’s B team.
Latterly, Corey has spent the past two seasons with East of Scotland First Division side Blackburn United and has already impressed in City colours this summer, featuring in all three of our pre-season friendlies.
Corey, who is the youngest son of Manager Andy Kirk, now becomes the latest addition to the City squad as the Club prepares to kick off its Premier Sports Cup campaign.
Speaking on the signing, Andy said, “Corey is another young player with strong potential. He is versatile, can play anywhere across midfield and has good technical ability and a strong work ethic. We look forward to helping Corey continue his development and we’re delighted to have him at the Club.”
