Striker Callum Hendry joined the club in August 2018 on a season long loan from Premier League side St Johnstone. Son of former Scotland captain Colin Hendry, Callum came through the academy at Blackburn Rovers where he started off as a defender and progressed further up the pitch as he got older. During his time at Blackburn, he spent some time on loan at Lancashire side Clitheroe FC.

Hendry made the move to Scotland in the summer of 2017 as he signed for St Johnstone and he has shown great promise at McDiarmid, resulting in him signing a new 2 year deal in May.
