A goal either side of half-time helped East Fife record a home victory over Second Division rivals Brechin City.

John Ovenstone headed home from Stevie Crawford's cross to give the hosts an eighth-minute lead.

Michael Brown kept the scores level with a good save to deny Paul McLean, who then conceded a penalty with a foul on Lloyd Young.

Paul McManus converted and Brown saved Rory McAllister's late spot-kick after David Muir had fouled Charlie King.
