Brechin City FC are thrilled to announce that Captain Euan Spark has committed his future to the Club by signing a 2-year contract extension, keeping him at Glebe Park until the summer of 2028.
A leader both on and off the pitch, his consistent performances last season were recognised as he scooped both the Supporters’ Player of the Year and the much-coveted Players’ Player of the Year award at the end of last season – a testament to the high regard he is held in by fans and teammates alike.
Sparky was almost ever-present in the heart of the defence throughout last season, making 41 appearances across all competitions – the most of any player in the squad. Across two spells at the Club, Euan has now amassed 213 appearances in City colours.

Manager Andy Kirk commented, “I’m delighted that Euan has extended his contract by 2 years. He is an important player for me and this team and is very passionate about the football club. Euan made it clear from the start that he wanted to stay and try to help the club be successful.”
Euan also added, “I’m delighted to extend my stay by another two years, which will bring my time at the Club to a total of 8 seasons and into another new league. I’m looking forward to the campaign ahead and to continue our push for promotion to the SPFL.”
