Sean came through the St Mirren youth system and made his league debut for the Buddies in 2009. He moved on to Airdrie the following year having been unable to cement a first team place, but it was at Queen's Park where he really established himself, making more than 250 appearances in all competitions. Like Ryan McGeever, he was part of the Spiders team that won promotion to League 1 in 2015-16, when he was also the club's Player of the Year. Sean is able to play in almost any outfield position and signed up for City in summer 2018
