Pre-season plans are already well underway at Brechin City as a number of friendly fixtures are now appearing in the clubs diary as they prepare for next season.

Chairman David Birse has revealed that St Johnstone will be making an appearance after the summer break and that the club is "very hopeful" of visits from both the Dundee outfits prior to the big kick off in August. A number of other outfits are also on the cards.

David Birse said: "We've spoken to both Dundee teams and St Johnstone have also promised to come up. Stanley, who are on tour, have also promised to be one of our pre-season teams. But these and others will be announced very, very shortly.

"We're very hopeful of getting both Dundee and United. We've also been negotiating with Aberdeen to stage their reserve games at the Glebe next season. It looks very likely that will go ahead, which is a nice little money earner.

"Although their first team are tied up for this pre-season they have promised to play us the one after. They used to in the past and it always brought good games - it's nice to be able to have ties with close clubs.
