Brechin City Squad News - By Grant Hood

With play-off action having eluded Brechin City this season, the customary end-of-season speculation amongst supporters around player comings and goings has already started.

The Management Committee can confirm that classy midfielder CALLUM TAPPING has committed himself to The Glebe Park side for next season, in a development which has pleased everyone associated with The Club.

Callum has joined Andy Jackson and Ryan McGeever who had both already committed for next season, and we can also confirm that the following players are definitely leaving Glebe Park.

- Gary Fusco
- Graeme Smith
- James Dale
- Sean Crighton
- Chris O’Neil
- Isaac Layne
- Liam Watt
- Callumn Morrison
- Dylan Mackin

A particular acknowledgement goes out to GARY FUSCO who is retiring from the game after 10 years with Brechin City, primarily due to increasing work commitments. His time at The Glebe was broken only by a single season sabbatical at Forfar Athletic. We can also confirm that to recognise this, The Club will be looking to support a Testimonial for this legendary fans favourite.

Also leaving The Glebe is goalkeeper GRAEME SMITH after 5 seasons, as well as midfielder JAMES DALE who is returning to his home in the south of England. Both will long be remembered for the parts they played in last season’s Championship Play-off victories over Raith Rovers and Alloa Athletic.

Whilst both SEAN CRIGHTON and CHRIS O’NEIL have signed for Airdrieonians, ISAAC LAYNE and LIAM WATT remain on the lookout for new clubs. Loanees CALLUMN MORRISON and DYLAN MACKIN return to their parent clubs of Hearts and Livingston respectively.

The Club would like to thank each one of these players for their considerable efforts during their time with the Club.

Negotiations continue with a number of new and existing players, and The Club will continue the established practice of announcing signings only when contracts are signed.
