City welcome David Hopkins’ Livingston side to Glebe Park tomorrow afternoon hoping to build on a hard earned point against Morton last weekend.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The two clubs have served up a couple of entertaining encounters so far this season. Back in August, City earned their first point of the season against the Lions at Glebe Park. The visitors looked to be cruising at half time thanks to goals from Dylan Mackin and Scott Pittman however City turned on the style in the second period. Kalvin Orsi pulled a goal back before Finn Graham slammed in a well deserved equaliser on the hour mark to earn City a draw.

Livi came out on top in the reverse fixture at the Tony Macaroni Arena in October. The game got off to a nightmare start as an error from Graeme Smith allowed Jack McMillan to open the scoring just 3 minutes into the game, however barely five minutes later Jordan Sinclair curled in a free kick to equalise. Second half goals from Craig Halkett and Dylan Mackin looked to have Livi cruising to the win before a late penalty from Kalvin Orsi set up a grandstand finish. Unfortunately, City were unable to grab a dramatic late equaliser.

Last season in League 1, City had no answer for Livi as they cruised to four relatively comfortable wins against the reds on their way to deservedly claiming the league title.

CURRENT FORM
As is well publicised, City are still searching for that elusive first win in the Championship. Having shared the spoils with Morton last weekend, Darren Dods’ men will be looking to go one better against the Lions tomorrow. With the glamour Scottish Cup tie against Celtic on the horizon next weekend, City players will be eager as ever to impress.

Despite their excellent start to the season, Livi’s form has stuttered of late having won only once in their last six matches. Last time out, they lost narrowly at home to Queen of the South with Chris Kane scoring the only goal of the game shortly before half time.

SQUAD NEWS
With the exception of long term injury victim Ryan McGeever, Darren Dods has a full squad to choose from. That includes Euan Spark comes back into contention after being substituted due to a head knock early on against Morton last weekend.

The visitors will include defender Gregor Buchanan in their squad who signed for the club yesterday following his release from St Mirren.

MATCH OFFICIALS
The man in the middle will be Craig Charleston, assisted by Graeme Leslie and Craig Ferguson. Charleston has officiated two City games this season in the narrow defeat at home to QotS in October and the 4-0 defeat midweek away to Inverness Caley Thistle at the end of November.

SPONSORSHIP
The match is sponsored by Edinburgh based private lawyers Murray Beith Murray who are making their annual and much anticipated pilgrimage to Glebe Park. The match ball meanwhile is being sponsored by local fan and City season ticket holder Graham Soutar. The club would like to thank all for their continued support.

HOSPITALITY
The City Club, situated in the David H Will Stand will be open free of charge to both sets of supporters (over 18’s only) prior to the game from 1pm and will re-open again after the match until 8pm. The club will be showing Tottenham Hotspur v Everton, live on BT Sports from 5pm.

ADMISSION INFO
This match sees Under-12’s gain free access when accompanied by a paying adult, as part of an SPFL pricing initiative adopted by all Championship clubs during the weekends when their Premiership counterparts are enjoying a winter break. Otherwise, usual league pricing applies for adults (£15) and concessions (£8).

The match-day magazine “A View from the Hedge” will be on sale prior to the game priced at £2, as well as 50/50 tickets and whisky raffle.
