Brechin City v Aberdeen: Match Preview - By Grant Hood

With a free weekend due to the sectional nature of The Betfred Cup, Brechin City welcome Derek McInnes and his Aberdeen squad to Glebe Park in a game designed to help the Pittodrie side prepare for further action in the Europa League prior to the start of the Ladbrokes Premiership.

For City, it will be an opportunity to bring further cohesion to the team, after a defeat and a draw with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Forfar Athletic respectively in the two Betfred Cup outings so far.

Given the flurry of signing activity 24 hours prior to the tie in the Highlands, it's unlikely that Manager Darren Dods will add to his playing squad. The return of James Dale and Finn Graham to the starting line-up for the Forfar game following first game suspension, will be further boosted by the returns of both Ryan McGeever and Chris O'Neil from holiday.

Aberdeen are expected to bring a strong first team squad, although both sets of fans can expect the customary flurry of substitutions.

Kick-off is at 2pm.

Entry is priced at a hugely attractive £8 for adults and £4 for concessions.

Brechin City Season Tickets are valid, and for those yet to purchase, they will be on sale for an hour prior to the kick-off.

A reminder too, to those who have applied for tickets under the "Free Season Tickets for Schoolchildren" promotion, that these should be uplifted from Glebe Park either at this game, or the Betfred Cup Tie v Falkirk next Saturday.

The 1983 Hospitality Lounge (soon to be re-branded as The City Club)will be open with free entry to over-18's from 1pm until kick-off, and will re-open again after the game.
