Brechin City v Dundee Match Preview - By Grant Hood

Brechin City face SPFL Premiership opposition in the form of Neil McCann’s Dundee at The Glebe on Tuesday evening.

Darren Dods and his men are well aware of the step up in calibre of opponent following an unbeaten run of friendlies against The Spartans, East Kilbride and Montrose – indeed without conceding a goal so far.

There are no fresh injuries to report after Saturday’s visit to Links Park Stadium, and City’s Management Team will again use this opportunity to continue to challenge the established players around fitness, form and cohesion – and make a further assessment of the trialists who have featured so far.

Notably, and perhaps crucially, Betfred competition rules dictate that only signed players can play, meaning there’s no opportunity to play trialists against any of our Group A opponents. As a result, our trialists will doubtless be super-keen to impress.

Dundee are expected to field a strong side, and attract a healthy contingent of the Dens Park faithful to view their new signings.
The match will kick off at 7.45pm, and entry is priced at a highly attractive £8 for adults and £4 for concessions.

Supporters are reminded that Season Tickets will be available for sale for one hour prior to the kick-off. Also, youngsters who have applied for a Season Ticket under the “Free Season Tickets for Schoolchildren” campaign, should collect their tickets at the Trinity Road entrance before kick-off.

The 1983 Hospitality Lounge will be open from 6.45pm with free access to supporters of both teams.
