Montrose FC V Brechin City FC Match Preview
Darren Dods takes his squad to Links Park tomorrow to face a rejuvenated Montrose FC. The game kicks off at 3pm with admission prices set at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
The squad will once again consist of some trialists as Darren looks to strengthen the team prior to the start of the BetFred Cup when we will have four players missing through suspensions carried forward from last season. Liam Watt will now also be missing from tomorrows line up and the BetFred Cup games as he recovers from a broken wrist that he incurred at Wednesday night’s friendly with East Kilbride. In addition to the trialists, last season’s heroes - Jacko, Pabs, Finn, Fusco, Ally, Elliot, Willie, Paddy, Aron, Chris & James should make an appearance together with latest signings Ryan & Euan. Isaac might struggle to make it as he works off a niggle from Wednesday night’s game.
Montrose finished last season on a high with Manager Stewart Petrie bonding his squad to take them into the play offs. He has since strengthened the squad with some notable additions including former Dundee Utd defender Sean Dillon.
We hope Brechin supporters make the short trip to Montrose to take in this local derby and to show their support to the players as they continue to prepare for the season ahead.
A reminder that City will have Dundee FC at Glebe Park on Tuesday night with a 7.45pm kick off. Admission prices for this game are £8 & £4.
