Stenhousemuir - Brechin City Match Preview - By John Hoey

Stenhousemuir - Brechin City Match Preview

Brechin City will make the journey to Stenhousemuir tomorrow for the final match in this season's league campaign and who would have predicted when the season kicked off way back in August that there would be so much at stake for both sides.

For City, one point is required to be absolutely sure of a play-off spot which has been the club's overriding objective from day one but for the Warriors a home win is an absolute must if they are avoid automatic relegation to League Two although a defeat for Peterhead who host Alloa Athletic at Balmoor Stadium would consign the Blue Toon to League Two next season with the Warriors contesting the relegation play-offs.

The atmosphere at Ochilview is sure to be 'red hot' to say the least with a partisan home support cheering on their team but City will also take a substantial travelling support through with the two Supporters Club buses already full to capacity and more than a good few more it is to be hoped, travelling through by car.

The three previous matches between the teams this season have seen Darren Dods's men record 2-1 and 3-1 victories with the sides sharing the spoils in their last encounter which was a 2-2 draw at Glebe Park.

As far as team news is concerned, Graeme Smith, Dougie Hill and Finn Graham all return to the squad after serving their suspensions but defenders Darren McCormack and Gareth Rodger remain sidelined.
