Brechin City - Stranraer Match Preview - By John Hoey

Brechin City - Stranraer Match Preview

Brechin City will draw a line under last week's defeat at Alloa and concentrate on taking full points when Stranraer visit Glebe Park tomorrow.

With just a point separating City and Queens Park and Airdrieonians who sit in third and fourth positions there is clearly everything still to play for with a couple of play-off positions still up for grabs.

City boss Darren Dods will go into tomorrow's encounter minus goalkeeper Graeme Smith and defender Dougie Hill who will both be serving the first of their two-game suspensions while defender Gareth Rodger who missed out last week at the Indodrill Stadium is still struggling with injury and is rated as very doubtful.

The manager will be keeping his starting eleven under wraps until nearer kick-off but it would seem probable that Darren McCormack who came on for Chris O'Neil against Alloa will retain his place in central defence while keeper Scott Costello has been recalled from Glenrothes Juniors as a back-up to Paddy O'Neil who will be in goal.

Stranraer come to Glebe Park on the back of an excellent 2-1 home victory over Airdrieonians with goals from Mark McGuigan and Kyle Turner either side of half-time ensuring victory with the Diamonds scoring a late consolation through ex City striker Andy Ryan. The matches between the sides this season be been close with City and the Blues each winning a match at Stair Park while City prevailed at the Glebe.
