Peterhead - Brechin City Match Preview

Following the disappointment of the postponement of last Saturday's home match against Alloa Athletic, Brechin City take to the road once again for the first of two consecutive Saturday away fixtures not forgetting of course the visit of Airdrieonians to Glebe Park this coming Tuesday night.

The City players had been looking forward to continuing the good work they displayed against the Spiders against the Wasps and the postponement of that match was really disappointing but they'll take a lot of encouragement from the way they performed against Queens and will be eagerly looking forward to continuing in the same vein against the Blue Toon who will be without ex City striker Rory McAllister following his sending-off in last Saturday's defeat at Stenhousemuir.

Alan Trouten has unfortunately suffered a groin injury at training and is rated at 50/50 by manager Darren Dods so it would seem probable that City will field the same starting eleven who took the field against Queens Park.

This will be the fourth meeting between the sides this season with City winning two matches and the Blue Toon one.

The referee tomorrow is 'weel kent' figure Mat Northcroft who will be handling his first City match of the season.
