Queens Park - Brechin City Match Preview - By John Hoey

Queens Park - Brechin City Match Preview

Brechin City will head to the National Stadium tomorrow determined to put the disappointment of Tuesday night's Scottish Cup exit behind them
and try their utmost to get back to winning ways with a victory against the Spiders. It will certainly not be easy against Gus McPherson's men who progressed to the fourth round of the cup and an away meeting with Ayr United after a 2-0 victory over Angus neighbours Montrose on Tuesday night, Queens goals coming from David Galt and Paul Woods.

The sides shared the spoils in their only previous meeting this season, at Glebe Park on 20th August which finished goalless.

It would be nice to say that City's injury problems are clearing up but if anything, the situation is even more acute than it was on Tuesday night. Ally Love who picked up a knock in the first-half is struggling to be fit with the manager rating his prospects as 50/50 and James Dale who missed that match has suspected cartilage problems and will probably have to go for a scan to assess the extent of the damage. Paul McLean is serving the final match of his two-game suspension while Chris O'Neil's hamstring injury will keep him on the sidelines for another week at least. The game will probably also come to soon for both Andy Jackson and Finn Graham while Darren rates Alan Trouten's prospects at 50/50.

Despite what can only be described as a horrendous injury list prior to Tuesday night's match, Darren was really pleased with the commitment and work-rate his players showed and he will be looking for the players who ultimately take the field tomorrow to show the same desire and determination.
