Elgin City - Brechin City Match Preview - By John Hoey

Elgin City - Brechin City Match Preview

Brechin City will embark on the long journey north to Elgin tomorrow hoping to make it two wins from two games.

Tuesday night's hard-fought victory over Stirling Albion was the start that manager Darren Dods and his players had been hoping for and they are well aware that they will have to show the same degree of determination and work-rate that they produced against the Binos if they are to take anything from tomorrow's match.

Elgin City, now managed by former Glebe Park boss Jim Weir have lost their opening two Betfred Cup fixtures, going down by 3-1 to St Johnstone last Saturday followed by a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Falkirk on Tuesday night but they will be determined to bounce right back from those disappointments with a home victory against City tomorrow afternoon.

As far as team news is concerned, Paul McLean will again be unavailable and it looks as though the opening home League Two fixture against Stenhousemuir will be the likely starting point for him and James Dale who missed Tuesday night's match will come back into the squad for tomorrow. Otherwise, everyone else is fit and available.

The referee for tomorrow's match is 23 year old doctor, Craig Napier.
