Morton - Brechin Match Preview - By John Hoey

Morton - Brechin City Match Preview

Brechin City make the long journey South west to Greenock tomorrow morning hoping to stretch their unbeaten run to eight games.

Manager Ray McKinnon has no fresh injury worries from Tuesday night's William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round replay win over Annan Athletic and will be looking for his players to reach the standard they showed in the opening 45 minutes against the men from Galabank when they were hugely impressive, scoring three goals within the first half-hour.

Former City boss Jim Duffy will be looking for a reaction from his players after their 2-0 loss at Stair Park last Saturday against Stranraer. Ironically, Morton could have been top of the table if they had won that game but their defeat sent them down from second into fourth position, two points behind leaders Forfar Athletic and six points in front of City who will obviously be looking to close the gap to three points. The Morton manager will have to do without the services of Sean Crighton and Conor Pepper who were both dismissed against the Blues.

The Match Referee will be Stephen Finnie who's handled one City match already this season, the 2-0 victory at Ayr United on 25th October.

The Brechin City Supporters Club will be running a bus to the match which will depart from St Ninians Square at 10.00am. Any supporters who wish to travel on this bus should contact Stephen Stewart on 07547 552209

Admission Prices at Cappielow will be :-

Adults - £15
Concessions - £10 *
Parent & Child - £15
Children Under 12 - Free when accompanied by an adult.

* Concessions - Concession prices are available to supporters over 65 years old, students in full time education and those who are registered as unemployed. Proof of entitlement must be shown at the turnstile when requested.

Brechin City supporters will be accommodated within the Main Stand and should enter the ground at the turnstiles adjacent to the main entrance on Sinclair Street.

Wheelchair spaces cost £10 which includes admission for a carer or assistant if required. Places are limited, however they can be booked in advance by calling 01475 723571 or by e-mailing to admin@gmfc.net.

Car parking is available across from the ground at a cost of £3 per car, and there is limited on-road parking behind the stadium.

Morton FC would remind all supporters that the James Watt Dock Marina, located on the opposite side of East Hamilton Street to the ground, is private property and parking in this area is strictly reserved for Marina patrons only.
