Brechin City - Stranraer Match Preview

Team News

Brechin City - Brechin City manager Ray McKinnon certainly doesn't have his problems to seek ahead of tomorrow's League One clash against Stranraer. Influential midfielder Alan Trouten will join fellow midfielders Craig Molloy and Callum Tapping on the side-lines after picking up an injury at Airdrie last Saturday and in addition, defender Colin Hamilton who has been an ever-present in the City side this season, and Kyle McAusland face late fitness tests. Ray will give both players every chance to prove their fitness prior to kick-off but is rating them both doubtful at the present time. Ewan McNeil who has been training with the club has signed until the end of January and he will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's match. Whatever the starting line-up tomorrow, the City supporters can be in doubt that the players will be trying their utmost to collect three points and restore some pride after their 4-0 defeat at Excelsior Stadium last Saturday.

Stranraer - Stranraer boss Stephen Aitken was justifiably proud of his players despite their defeat in last weekend's Petrofac Training Cup semi-final against Livingston. The Stair Park outfit received a lot of plaudits for their performance in that match and will be determined to take something from tomorrow's game. The Blues boss has doubts surrounding defenders Scott Robertson and Craig Pettigrew and although midfielder Steven Bell started training this week, tomorrow's encounter will come too soon for him.
